Your free fixes

Checked on 6 October 2026

How many free fixes do I have, and what uses one?

Your book comes with up to 50 free regenerations of its pictures. On your book page they are called fixes. The badge at the top right of your book page, “… image fixes left”, shows how many are left. When none are left, it shows “0/… fixes”, that is 0 of your total. If an older email from us mentions a different number, the badge is right. Every new picture uses one fix: a painted fix, “Just try again” or a new cover picture. Several spots painted on one page and sent together are painted in one go and use just one fix. A few bigger changes, like putting a different person in someone's place, use more than one, and the window says so before you send it. These are always free: changing the words, the title, the dedication or the page order, and going back to an earlier picture. On a memory page, the save button tells you which it is: “Save (free)” or “Save (1 credit)”. A fix is only used when a new picture is actually saved. If something goes wrong and no new picture appears, none of your fixes is used.

Steps

  1. To see how many fixes you have left, look at the badge at the top right of your book page.
  2. In the edit window, the line under the send button shows how many you have used and how many are left.
  3. To save fixes, paint all the spots on a page before you send it: tap or click “+ Add another fix to this repaint” between them.
  4. If a fix showed an error, wait a little and look for small arrows on the picture before you try again. If a new version is there, the fix worked and was used.

When your fixes are used up, you can still change the words. If you need more picture fixes, or the number still looks wrong after you reload the page, write to us at hello@memolio.io.
