Changing the order of the pages
Can I change the order of the pages?
Yes. You can move pages earlier or later in your book, as often as you like until you order. It is free. It does not use any of your image fixes.
A page of words and the picture beside it move together, as a pair. The first pages of the story stay where they are. While a picture in your book is being painted, you cannot change the order, so wait until it is finished.
There is no undo. Check the new order carefully before you save. Saving reloads your book.
Steps
- Wait until no picture in your book is being painted.
- At the top of your book, under the title, tap or click “Re-arrange page order”. You see a list of your pages, each with a small picture and its first words.
- Tap or click ▲ or ▼ next to a page to move it up or down one place. Pages marked “Pair” move together. Pages marked “Locked” cannot be moved.
- When the order is right, tap or click “Save order”. There is no undo. If you change your mind, tap or click “Cancel” instead.
- Wait a moment. “Pages reordered! Rebuilding your PDF...” appears and your book reloads by itself. There is nothing to download.
If you see “Cannot reorder while regenerating a page”, wait until the new picture is finished and try again. If you need to move one of the first pages, or the new order still does not save after you reload the page, write to us at hello@memolio.io and tell us which page should go where.
