Stopping and carrying on later
I can't finish now. Can I stop and carry on later?
Yes. Your answers and photos save by themselves as you go, so you can stop at any time and close the page. To carry on later, or on another phone, tablet or computer, ask for your private link by email (the steps are below). The link opens the questions where you stopped. If you have already paid, use the button in your order confirmation email instead. It takes you back to the questions. In a How We Met book there is no such button: your answers still save as you go, and the link back is in your order confirmation or in our reminder emails.
Taking a break is fine, and it does not affect an order you have already paid for. If a book is never ordered and its answers are left untouched for a long time, we delete the answers and photos to protect your privacy.
Steps
- Already paid? Then skip these steps and use the button in your order confirmation email. If not, find the button at the top right of the page. It says “Save & continue later” or “Continue later”. On a small phone it may show only a small square symbol.
- Tap or click it. A small window opens with “Everything is saved.”
- Check that your email address in the box is right, or type it in. Then tap or click “Send me my link”.
- When “Your link is on its way.” appears, you can close the page.
- To carry on, open the email from Memolio on any phone, tablet or computer and tap or click the button in it. The questions open where you stopped.
If you do not see the button, or no email arrives, your answers are still saved. First look in your spam or junk folder. Then open the newest email from us about your book (for example your order confirmation or a reminder) and tap or click the button in it. If you cannot find any email from us, write to us at hello@memolio.io. Tell us the email address you used, if you gave one, and who the book is about.
